THE SUPERMOON IS OUT - How are you taking advantage of it?

As I stare outside my window from my chalet in the Adelaide hills, I can't help but reflect on all the beauty in this world. The leaves on the vines outside my balcony are green turning gold and burnished by the sun. The air is crisp and clean. Not a sound, not even a whisper can be heard except for the rustling of three kangaroos grazing on their evening meal against a backdrop of the September Harvest supermoon. And I am overwhelmed by a feeling of intense gratitude for living in our lucky country, being trusted by so many to walk with them on their path to realising their greatest life goals and dreams.

Tomorrow I will be joined by another team of changemakers trying to make the world a better place for us all and my only hope is that I can bring what they need to support them to get there. And that they will trust and listen and take action.

These last couple of months I have stood along leaders across a broad range of industry sectors - from energy, to mining, healthcare to local government, engineering to education all striving to leave the world better for the next generation.

Inspiration and Gratitude are the two words that are driving my energy as we close out the last quarter of the 2024 financial year dashing to make significant strides before we all crash for Christmas.

I'm proud of the fact that I have taken some bold and intentional steps to also invest in my own learning, joining a mastermind group of entrepreneurs in Hobart to challenge my own thinking and take my practice next level and leave a legacy that lasts.

TASMANIAN MASTERMIND RETREAT

It was snow and cyclonic conditions in beautiful Hobart but that didn't dampen my spirits. I was just thrilled to be in Hobart - that place is God's country! Have you been here? Put it on your bucket list!

I spent 4 days in a learning vault working on my practice, and practicing what I preach - slowing down to see the moves of the world more clearly. I wouldn't call it a brain break, think of it more as a reset! It was hard work!!!

There is nothing quite like being put into the spotlight and asked the tough questions to remind you of the work you need to do that you have been putting off but that is necessary to amplify your services.

With the support of Andrew Griffiths and Keith Abraham, leaders in learning, authoring and speaking the light went on for me about what I want to focus on for 2025 and what I need to stop doing - sometimes that is even harder to do!

"The support of my mastermind group equally strengthened my resolve to do the work I’ve been avoiding and helped push me to the edge of my thinking to elevate my contributions."

They pushed me to the edge and I am flying.

WIGO 2024

There’s a unique magic that unfolds when a group of ambitious, supportive, and insightful women come together. It's hard to describe but you just know that if they stick together, anything is possible.

This month, I had the privilege of leading my Women in Operations leadership program for Goldfields, for the second year.

Our focus was on courageous conversations about our world, with the team collaboratively designing intentional and strategic career paths. We explored the barriers preventing them from fully embracing their authentic selves, deepening their connections with others, and setting the stage for a visionary future as leaders.

Supporting women in overcoming obstacles to an equal future is more crucial than ever, and that is what I am committed to doing.

UNREASONABLE AMBITION - NEW REVIEW

?? PODCAST EPISODE: Harness ‘Unreasonable Ambition’ To Create Impossible Change

The key to leadership success is living an ambitious and inspired life. But what does that actually mean? How do we go about it?

Listen in to my "Team Guru" episode with David Frizzell as we discuss these big questions and much more.

The key lessons learned in this episode:

  1. Don’t wait for a crisis to tap into your genius
  2. Get storm ready. Be the storm – don’t run away from it
  3. Find something you care about. Why are you here? What does the world need from you?

Listen to the episode now.

Thanks for joining me for another edition of "Ambitious Minds"! Stay tuned for more insights and updates in our next edition.

Until then, stay inspired and be bold. I am going to to set my intentions by the light of this incredible moon!
