Superfici d’architettura: a new entrepreneurial path

The new entrepreneurial trajectory of Savema - which coincides with the definition of a company catalogue aimed at Architectural Surfaces (parallel channel to the company’s "ordinary" work and production) - required a design trajectory, production and product communication that supports the innovation and research of marble surfaces contaminated by complementary materials.

The exhibition space thus becomes a narration, a three-dimensional account of the methodological process.

An open container that accommodates six portals in natural metal and generated by simple folds becomes "book" and "pages" to read; they are "doors through which to pass, to travel" to the rediscovery of tradition and contemporaneity, research and innovation, recovery and sustainability, language and two-dimensional and three-dimensional graphic design.

Inside the portals (the pages) the "writing" (the collections) carved in marble thanks to advanced technologies and stages of realization often interrupted, unfinished but left natural, material; pentagram solids in which to insert "notes" composed of other natural materials (wood inlaid according to ancient artisanal techniques, vegetable tanned leather, metal etched by skilled hands, willow interwoven in Tuscany, the cork recovered from a consolidated structure based on the circular economy and the simple veneered wood that captures the thrift in the use of the raw material).

A journey between technique and poetry, concreteness and dream to return to the visitor the awareness of a methodological path attentive and sensitive to the material, its use and its "permanence" and durability in the inhabited space.
