"S"? in Super-mom stands for "self-care"?

"S" in Super-mom stands for "self-care"

This weekly newsletter is a collection of experiences after I gave birth to my daughter. Sometimes it might seem too much painful. But trust me, it's just to help you prepare yourself to feel blissful, not dreadful.

Let's start this episode with happy news... I was discharged. Three days of sleeping/ not sleeping, periods, and stitches felt like an end to the pain once I thought about being home.

I was happy. I could stay in my safe haven. The moment I entered my home, a few things came with me. Of course, the first one was my daughter, balloons (my colleagues and friends gave my daughter), and the pain.

Yes, the pain of handling it alone in my mind took a toll on me. It was tough to contain my sadness even though I was happy. I wasn't divorced yet, so the future was uncertain. And the responsibility of a child again took over.

I was the last option on my list as well. It was breastfeeding, making her sleep, listening to my separation stories, and my daughter getting up on repeat. This loop didn't end. And before anyone could find it, I was crying every night.

All I wanted was peace in terms of thoughts. But I couldn't have that. And yet again, supermom took over the woman.

A piece of advice:

??♀? The first 40 days aren't only about making your child adjust to the world. It's about you doing the same.

??♀? Childcare is important. But self-care is equally important. If you don't heal, it will start showing later. And trust me, that won't be good at all.

??♀? Have a support system because you will be bleeding and taking care of your child. Make sure your family supports you in everything, obviously besides breastfeeding.

Stay tuned for the next episode... ??

Thanks for sharing
