I'm feeling alot of gratitude as we head into the fall season. It was a wonderful weekend of celebrations and time with people I respect tremendously--(despite the Irish loss!)
On Friday night our team at the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Northern Indiana Corridor was thrilled to be recognized alongside Career Academy Network of Public Schools for the Community Collaboration Award at the Indiana Department of Education Educational Excellence Awards Gala in Indianapolis. It blows other traditional Gala's out of the water- celebrating teachers, educational leaders, schools, and organizations across the state by reinvesting millions of dollars into proven best practices that work-- think big checks, red carpets, so much positive energy. It's how our teachers and educators should be celebrated and acknowledged. I walked away so energized about the future of education in our state. Huge props, Rebecca Estes, Ph.D., for making that come to life! The momentum continued as we were able to take in a Notre Dame game and talk all things education and innovation with our local thought leaders on a beautiful Saturday in South Bend. It's not lost on me how damn lucky I am to do a job that I love every day.
