I’m coming across multiple Crypto and Bitcoin sources today referring to Avocados From Mexico's 2020 Super Bowl campaign in which we leveraged NFTs for the first time in a SB campaign… ever. It made me reflect on two things:
1) As the marketing pioneer that the brand has always been, AFM started experimenting with NFTs way before the marketing industry fully embraced them. That decision exemplifies the risk tolerance level of our brand since pioneers and innovators have no case studies that indicate that what they are about to do has any chance to succeed. But more importantly, it shows trust. As a company, we believe that our teams can accomplish anything they set their minds to, and that's the strong foundation of our success as a company managing a challenger brand.
2) When brands have the courage to do what no other brand has done before, and the boldness to plan their marketing strategies in the future, those strategies become timeless.

“Back in 2020, blockchain penetrated the Super Bowl through nonfungible tokens (NFT). Nonprofit trade group Avocados from Mexico inserted NFTs in its advertising campaign. With this, users can collect digital avocados and are able to win blockchain-based rewards.
According to Ivonne Kinser, head of digital marketing at Avocados From Mexico, the results were overwhelmingly positive. Kinser said they delivered “3.2 billion social impressions” through the ad campaign.”
