Super 9 Convergence from the eyes of an MSP

When defining my experience at Super 9 Convergence, I can honestly say, it was a complete success, as a managed solution provider, I was able to get better, faster and stronger in the Technology industry. Growing up I often heard the saying, knowledge is power! Super 9 Convergence gave me that power. Having access to tools, and innovative insight, is a game changer, when you really sit down and think about, how to differentiate your business.
Super 9 was about how to build, connect, and diversify our way of thinking. it opened my horizon to things like, how to expand my cloud practice, vertical mapping, and how to create a Technology Roadmap. The Knowledge I learned during Super 9 cannot be quantified. When reviewing my notes from the conference, there was one thing that became apparent. I could not leave without understanding how to capitalize on the enormous amounts of opportunities being created by rapid change.
Super 9 was an amazing opportunity to expand our way of thinking. It gave me the confidence to think outside of the box. It was like a utopia of knowledge. I learned how to become a Challenger, leveraging existing knowledge, with the understanding that the buying process has changed. The prospected client already knows what they want to buy. However, if we lead with new perspectives while educating the clients of our products and services, we will be able to justify the ROI, or should I now say the Rope, i.e. return on the number of problems eliminated. I learned how to start a value-added conversation, provoking customer thinking before educating the prospect with the information they wouldn't normally have access to.
From my personal standpoint, Super 9 Convergence was hard work.
Over the last few days, it has been a marathon of learning how to better serve our customer base. For me, the most encouraging aspect of Super 9 can be defined in this quote. "The dictionary is the only place that success comes before work.
Hard work is the price we must pay for success. I think you can accomplish about anything if you're willing to pay the price." Over the last few days, we paid the price associated with living in the channel. Furthermore, I could literally see value being added to the industry, after every forum.
Super 9 forced me to review what story I was trying to sale. How could I better serve my clients, by educating them on the benefits of an agile, secure, computing platform; that enables organizations to dominate the market. It has truly been a pleasure to learn and party with lntelisys, ScanSource and all of the vendors. I wanted to personally thank everyone who was involved in this massive success.
