Sunset to Sunrise and in between is hope

For the last 3 weeks, our family went through ups and downs as we met various specialist doctors to understand what's happening with my father's health. Thankfully, last week ended with the hope that the next sunrise would be brighter for my father and thus our family. This whole episode was eventful and here I pen down what I realized.
- Taking health as a priority is a must. So eat right, sleep enough, exercise regularly and most importantly keep yourself calm in all the hustle and bustle of our daily lives.
- Unexpected situations might throw you off balance but that’s the time when you must think rigorously to have a rational point of view and decide accordingly. Emotions should not overpower the logical options you may have, but it should be at the core when you make the final decisions. As you look forward, you need to have a plan A but also think about your plan B and plan C.
- On critical topics, you should know the little details but at the same time, you should keep the sight on the eagle view. This is critical as you can then see the dots and how they connect with each other.
- Passion to perform your duty is a must to enjoy whatever you do. It makes you happy and everyone can see the commitment and thus you develop much deeper relationships. All through the stay, the doctors and other staff were very empathetic. I think this was the single most important factor that this whole episode didn’t drain me physically or emotionally.
At the hospital, at every screen, a video was repeated all the time and it started with a quote - “Life starts at the end of your comfort zone" by Neale Donald Walsch. I got my new meaning of this quote. I am greatly indebted to my father for instilling some of my core principles, which I will never negotiate.
