The Sunlight

Despite all the precolations

The core is not agitated

The focus has not shifted

Soon will be so bright it blinds eyes

Scars will be revisited with utmost tenderness

The precious waiting to be concluded

Leaning confidently on history

Reaching for the coming with uncontained exhilaration

No question prophecy will be fulfilled

A page will be neatly folded

Turned but never forgotten

Serving as a compass

Keeping tomorrow out of harm's way

It is time for Jandheer and Shirib under the sunlight

Let's forget what walls look like

My star will be the passport to the highest sky

It's five pillars standing tall and proud

Camel's milk mustaching every face

And sparkles from coast to coast

* Jandheer and Shirib are types of traditional Somali dances.
