Sunday Reflections
In the Sunday editions of this newsletter, we will look at passages from the Bible on the subjects of faith, joy, love and hope. These verses are found in the New International Version (NIV) of the Bible and I am not going to add anything to them. They are yours and yours alone to reflect on as you wish.
Sunday is a good day to reflect. For some, it is also a good day to look at the week ahead. I want to invite you to be present on Sundays. Last week won't change and next week starts with new promises and a renewed hope. Be mindful about finding new hope as you go throughout the week ahead.
1.) Faith Every Day: 1 Samuel 14:33
33?Then someone said to Saul, “Look, the men are sinning against the Lord by eating meat that has blood in it.” "You have broken faith," he said. "Roll a large stone over here at once."
2.) Joy Every Hour: 1 Chronicles 12:40
40?Also, their neighbors from as far away as Issachar, Zebulun and Naphtali came bringing food on donkeys, camels, mules and oxen. There were plentiful supplies of flour, fig cakes, raisin cakes, wine, olive oil, cattle and sheep, for there was joy in Israel.
3.) Love Every Minute: Genesis 29:32
32?Leah became pregnant and gave birth to a son. She named him Reuben, for she said, “It is because the Lord has seen my misery. Surely my husband will love me now.”
4.) Hope In Each Second: Psalm 42:5
5?Why, my soul, are you downcast??Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God,?for I will yet praise him,?my Savior and my God.
Until next week,
