Sunday — 3 Simple Ways to Kick-back, Relax, & Overcome The Ego

Sundays are the day of rest.

Whether you’re going to church or sleeping in after a crazy?Saturday?night, Sundays are the day where you take it easy and regroup from the week.

But did you also know that Sundays are great for reflection, strategizing for the week ahead, and letting go of earthly attachments?

In this article, I aim to show you just that.

Sunday through the eyes of Chakra

By the way, when’s the last time you learned about your?chakra centers?

If it’s been a while,?here’s a quick recap: We have seven main chakra centers in the body, and each center can be associated with a day of the week.

  • The Root Chakra — Monday
  • The Sacral Chakra — Tuesday
  • The Navel/Solar Plexus Chakra — Wednesday
  • The Heart Chakra — Thursday
  • The Throat Chakra — Friday
  • The Third Eye Chakra — Saturday
  • The Crown Chakra — Sunday

Each chakra center has a unique?emotional theme, block, and audible frequency?(we’ll discuss this later). Each center can be activated independently; if left unchecked, it can become overused or underused.

Sunday’s Specific Emotional Theme, Block, & Frequency

  • Daily Chakra:?Crown Chakra
  • Chakra Location:?At the top of the Head
  • Main Emotional Theme:?Rest & Reflection
  • Main Emotional Block:?The Ego
  • Vibrational Frequency:?963Hz

On Sundays, your emotional goal should be to relax, reflect on your progress from the week, and lightly plan for the week ahead.

Here are three little chakra tricks I use to relax and reflect on Sundays.

#1 Chakra Recommended Activities

“Sunday is your best day. You know you had an amazing week. Time to recover and think about how you gonna kill the next one.”

Today’s recommended activities should help you process your last week and prepare for the week ahead.

Recommended Activities:

  • Week Review
  • Next Week Planning
  • Organize Medicines
  • Meal Prep
  • End of Week Brain Dump
  • Journaling

In his book “Getting Things Done,” David Allen discusses having a “Weekly Review” day to sort through all your tasks and meetings from the week.?This is when you identify new priorities for the week ahead and ensure you’re going into the week with a fresh mind and clear direction.

Sundays are great days for this activity. Take some time to see what went well and what you can improve on for next week. Sunday is also suitable for accomplishing smaller tasks like meal prepping and organizing your medicine for the week so you can make the rest of the week more manageable for you.

#2 Self-Reflection Questions

“Sunday is the core of our civilization, dedicated to thought and reverence.” — Ralph Waldo Emerson

When’s the last time you asked yourself self-reflection questions tailored for Sunday? It turns out they can be very enlightening and help you develop a clear intention for the day.

The following questions are ones you can write down or keep in your conscious awareness throughout the day.

Self-Reflection Questions:

  • What went well this week?
  • What did not go well?
  • What can I do better next week?

These questions echo the other points I’ve made in this article. The goal here is to remind you that Sundays are for reflecting on the week and preparing for the next one.

#3 Solfeggio Frequency Spotify Playlists

“Sunday is a time when you sit back and reflect on all the blessings that you have received. Smile at all the good things that you are enjoying.” — Sera Train

Every morning, I start by listening to?Solfeggio frequencies?associated with the corresponding chakra day. On Sunday, I listen to?963Hz?to help?remove self-limiting beliefs, boost courage, and activate my pineal gland.

I created the following playlist on Spotify. You can save it and use it the next time you need a boost on Sunday.

Playlist:?Sunday Starter Kit

Conclusion

Sundays are the lynchpin that keeps the whole week together.

While most people dedicate this day to relaxing, Sundays play an even more crucial role in the grand scheme of the week.

Use Sundays as the day to?reflect on this past week, plan for the week ahead, and prepare to repeat the weekly process again.?Celebrate that you got through another week, and prep yourself for an even greater week!

“Sunday is the golden clasp that binds together the volume of the week.” — Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
