Suna K?ra? Library continues to bring together library professionals from around the world!

Suna K?ra? Library continues to bring library professionals around the world together in international events! Last month, the library organized the 5th International Staff Week and welcomed 26 librarians from 14 different countries. Our ILWS Family is getting bigger and this year we surpassed 150 members.

The ILSW program is unique for the way it blends professional learning with visits to libraries which are iconic landmarks of the city. This year, we had the chance to visit the Ottoman Archives, Anamed and Rami Libraries as part of our program. Moreover, on the last day of the week, we offered an old city tour to all our participants.

This year, we embraced “Digital in Every Sense Possible” as our main theme in a world where we feel more and more the weight of digital transformation and artificial intelligence. The presentations on and around this theme and following discussions gave us significant insights on how to position ourselves as libraries in this new era.
