Sun Rise & Sun Set
Have you ever seen the sun rise in the sky?
Then some day to see this spectacle you should try.
The sun has different colours till it becomes bright,
From crimson to orange till it becomes white.
The sky also changes its colour with the sun,
Seeing this sight gives the mind a lot of fun.
And in case you miss to get up early and see this view,
God does a repeat telecast for all of you.
The colour of the sun again becomes mild, as dusk it gets,
And then at the end of the day the sun then sets.
It has done its work through the day,
The world is alive for the sun gives its ray.
Our life is similar to the phenomenon of sun set and rise,
The colours of?our life change, this we must realise.
Our nature is mild when we are small,
Innocence and simplicity is written all over the wall.
Then as we grow,
Wisdom in us starts to flow.
Simplicity and innocence then take a back seat,
Our egos then start to generate its heat.
Just like noon when the sun is strong,
In our mid-age, life becomes a song.
Achievements in life start happening then,
Pride in our mind finds its den.
Then as life moves on we start becoming old,
?The story of sun set in our life gets unfold.
We start becoming like children again,
Mildness in our life starts to reign.
The older we become we start to become free,
Our egos start falling, like dead leaves of a tree.
Then a time comes when we fade and bid good bye,
Our life story ends when we die.
Let us try to live a life of light,
Our lives should make the world around us bright.
If we do this, when our life sets just like the sun,
We shall leave this world happily, as we know all our work has been done.

Poet, storyteller and eminent motivational speaker Indrajyoti Sengupta in his poem ‘Sun rise and Sun set’ has beautifully portrayed how our lives begin like the sun rise and end like the sun set and how we can live a life by which we too can spread light in the world
