Summer'24 Internship Experience at Vulcan

My summer internship as a Data and Analytics Intern at Vulcan Materials Company has been a transformative journey, blending professional growth with personal development. Securing a role aligned with my career goals was a significant milestone, and this experience has enriched me with much more than just technical skills.

During my time at Vulcan, I was actively involved with the Tableau Cloud Migration Team. My responsibilities included resolving extract failures, creating data sources for dashboards, ensuring smooth data visualization transitions, and synchronizing worksheets with production environments. I also developed a dashboard to track key performance indicators, deepening my understanding of how data drives decision-making within an organization.

Beyond the technical challenges, the collaborative atmosphere at Vulcan was genuinely inspiring. Working closely with cross-functional teams emphasized the importance of communication and mutual support. I realized that success stems not only from individual contributions but also from the ability to collaborate effectively with others.

I am deeply grateful to Raj Sivakumar , Gowa Borzigin , Urvang K. Seshadri, and Niket Kanoongo for their invaluable guidance and support throughout my internship. Their insights were instrumental in helping me navigate my projects and grow professionally.
