Summer'22 Internship Experience at eBay

I'd want to share my experiences as an eBay Business System Intern as I draw closer to the conclusion of my summer internship. Thanks to my Team, my experience at the Austin office of eBay has been absolutely incredible!

eBay Inc. is a global commerce leader that connects millions of buyers and sellers in more than 190 markets around the world. eBay enables the economic opportunity for individuals, entrepreneurs, businesses, and organizations of all sizes.

I worked with the Business System & Strategy team, which supports Compliance Operations at eBay, during my internship here. Working with this team introduced me to a completely new perspective on e-commerce platforms?where buyers and sellers interact. My role on this team is to comprehend and analyze the compliance operations process for examining the seller's behavior on the eBay website in an effort to discover solutions to automate the manual review process and save a significant amount of time. I also participated to the creation of JIRA tickets, Business Requirement Documents for business and development, and Project plans utilizing Monday.com. Additionally, I developed an Alteryx workflow to automate the quality assurance (QA) process of comparing seller transactional data generated manually using Zeta Queries and automatically using MicroStrategy extension HyperCard.

I had to relocate to a different city because the internship was in-person, and I'm really thankful for the entire experience. All of us interns were brought together by eBay's numerous engaging events over the course of the summer to network with other eBayers. I want to thank my manager, Patric Vogt , and Jade Kenny for their unwavering support while I learned about project management and the automation domain. Thank you so much to Anat Peron , Michele Karaka?-Alarcón , and the whole URP team?for all of their assistance both before and during the internship.

Finally, I'd like to express my gratitude to all of the professors at The University of Texas at Dallas for their advice, knowledge, and support during lectures, which greatly aided me throughout my Summer'22 internship.
