Summer Venture Spotlight: Develop US
Babson Boston
Babson Boston's classroom and convening spaces at 100 High St. are in-city complements to our main campus in Wellesley.
SVP participant and Babson student Luis Javier Martín Vi?as is a rising star who first established himself in Latin American software development and is now looking towards expansion into the United States. Hear how the Blank Center Summer Venture Program has given him the tools he needs to succeed in his newest venture....
“My name is Luis Martín; I’m a Mexican entrepreneur with seven years of experience in the tech industry as a co-founder of a software development hub in Latin America. I am now launching Develop US, a company dedicated to assisting individuals and businesses in the US with their IT needs. Our services cover a wide range of solutions, including web platforms, mobile apps, 3rd party integrations, and IT consultations. We prioritize real-time communication with clients and have chosen to nearshore our software services to Latin American countries like Mexico and Argentina, which share similar time zones with US companies. Our processes prioritize transparency, time efficiency, and trustworthiness to deliver the best possible service to our clients.
?Practicing my pitch for my venture in front of all the advisors and the other teams has been so helpful for me, and seeing all the areas of opportunity has been great. The feedback from my peers and advisors in only three weeks has been one of the most insightful experiences I’ve had professionally. This feedback is rocket fuel for my new venture, and every opinion further improves myself and my business, which is really great.
The community-building aspect of the SVP has been amazing these last weeks. The way every team interacts with one another in the co-working space and tries to make everyone succeed by helping one another and giving each other insights is unreal. It’s more than just networking, as I feel the bonds we are creating will be lifelong helpful relationships in our careers as entrepreneurs.”
