Summer, Summer, Summertime

Last week marked the first official day of summer, but here in Austin, TX, it has felt like summer since March!?

100+ temps every day for the last few weeks are causing me to wilt and fade like a garden with no shade!!!

Here lately, LIFE (and this ridiculous heat) has got me feeling MEH about my business and I’m in need of some inspiration.

I don’t want to write content. I don’t want to make videos. I don’t want to write books or courses or host Masterclasses. I don’t want to think about my website, my brand, my social media posts, or my analytics.?

I really need some of that OLD-SCHOOL Summer!?The kind where you went on road trips, ate Pringles, and left melted Crayons in the back seat.

SO….

Over the next few weeks, I intend to recapture those lazy days of summer breaks gone by with?#JOYFullProductivity from my childhood and I encourage you to do the same.?

Here are my TOP TIPS!

TAKE A DAMN BREAK ALREADY!?It can be an hour, a day, a week, a month, or even a YEAR! I am taking the entire month of JULY to refocus, recharge and truly RELAX and it all starts at the BEACH! Please take care of yourself!?

DON’T TAKE IT WITH YOU!?Schedules, sales calls, Zoom, e-mail, invoicing, long-ass ToDo lists…. LEAVE THAT CRAP AT HOME when you take a break! When you lock the door, you are a hostage no more! Take time-consuming apps off your phone (we didn’t always have them and we were OK). Clear your calendar. Read books. Play board games. Be present with your people. They need you!?

ADD-ONS:?Otter Pops, Running through the Sprinkler, drinking from the hose, multiple trips to the Library for those Summer Reading Rewards, making crafts from whatever you can find, and taking naps.?
