Summer of Service (2024)
Virginia Lottery
Since 1999, the support of Virginia Lottery players has helped us contribute more than $13 billion to public education!
Virginia Lottery employees continue to give back through our Lottery Outreach program. Last year, employee volunteers recorded close to 1,000 hours of community outreach! For FY25, we're aiming to do even more.
To reach that goal, we kicked off our first Summer of Service (S.O.S.) initiative! Over 70 employees signed up and volunteered at seven different organizations and two schools in the final months of summer.
One to highlight, is the Ultimate Backpack Supply Drive, where 25 employees took time out of their day to assist in packing 1,890 backpacks with school supplies for students of central Virginia!
It’s important to provide these opportunities for employees, so they are able to give back in the communities where they live and work.
