9 Must-Read Books to CRUSH Your 2024 Goals
As we dive into the summer season, it's the perfect time to refresh and reinvigorate our reading lists. In honor of our Summer Reading Challenge, I've curated a list of 9 must-read books to help you crush your 2024 reading goals. Whether you're looking for inspiration, personal growth, or a great story to get lost in, these picks have something for everyone.
Here are nine must-read books for you to CRUSH your 2024 goals:
1. Ten Legacy Lessons of Wealth : What the Wealthy Teach Their Children That the Masses Don’t Know by Frank AuCoin and Theresa AuCoin
I love this book for so many reasons. First, I know both Frank and Theresa, who have been married for 50 years, personally, and they are some of the kindest people you will ever meet. When reading this book, I felt their positivity and kindness throughout the pages, which made the journey that much more enjoyable. This book is simple to digest and implement, and I've ordered copies for my close friends and family members. I wish I had this book 20 years ago, but I am grateful for it now.
2. The Wealthy Gardner : Life Lessons on Prosperity Between Father and Son by John Soforic
This book has to be one of my favorites to this day. It picks up where Rich Dad, Poor Dad: What the Rich Teach Their Kids About Money That the Poor and Middle Class Do Not! left off. I found myself taking a ton of notes while listening to the book via Audible, and I'm already listening to it for a second time because it’s that insightful. A must-read, for sure!
3. Thinking in Bets : Making Smarter Decisions When You Don’t Have All the Facts by Annie Duke
The title says it all. You might recognize her as a national poker champion winner. She's brilliant. After listening to her captivating interviews on various podcasts, I couldn't wait to dive into her book.
4. The Digital Mindset : What It Really Takes to Thrive in the Age of Data, Algorithms, and AI by Tsedal Neeley & Paul Leonardi
This book is a game-changer. Dr. Brené Brown recommended it, and after listening to it, my mind was blown.

5. Necessary Endings : The Employees, Businesses, and Relationships That All of Us Have to Give Up in Order to Move Forward by Dr. Henry Cloud
This book was suggested to me by a friend years ago when I was going through a divorce. It complemented what I was hearing from my therapist at the time, and I appreciate his perspective.
6. Live Your Dream : Planning for Success by Dr. Mark Chironna
This book is one of my current favorites, and I'm rereading it. I absolutely love it and highly recommend it.
7. Supercommunicators : How to Unlock the Secret Language of Connection by Charles Duhigg
I first heard of this book while listening to the podcast Think Fast, Talk Smart and was blown away by what the author shared. Charles Duhigg is a Pulitzer Prize-winning writer, and I immediately sent the interview link to friends whom I know would enjoy learning to communicate effectively.
8. The Body Keeps the Score : Brain, Mind, and Body in the Healing of Trauma by Bessel van der Kolk M.D.
A year ago, a dear friend of mine, Dan, invited me to Global Exchange. One of the featured speakers was Dr. Bessel. I was enthralled along with the other 2000+ attendees as he began to talk about trauma. WOW…profound teaching and his book has been on the NYT bestseller’s list since it was first published.?
9. EMDR : The Breakthrough Therapy for Overcoming Anxiety, Stress, and Trauma by Francine Shapiro & Margot Silk Forrest
Described as a groundbreaking approach to healing in the field of psychotherapy, EMDR has effectively addressed psychological challenges and ailments in over a million individuals globally, astonishing with its remarkable swiftness. Upon the recommendation of my esteemed mentor, Dr. Holly Shaw, I promptly procured this book, eager to delve into its insights.
Happy reading while you crush those 2024 goals!
