The Olympics are around the corner as you may know! ?? Only 10 days left before the ceremony open up the weeks of world-class athletic competition, with 15 million visitors expected to descend upon the French capital and an estimated global audience of one billion viewers glued to their screens ?? As a Parisian born, yes, in the heartbeat of the capital I found it interesting to share with you my views on this major event while I'm here. Let me answer to your question now, Paris is already packed, I heard so many tourists speaking various languages at the same time and everywhere, this is unique in one place specially in the transportations, on the streets and even at the restaurants! ?? Take a seat now, I embark you in my first summer read of the Olympic Games in France through my eyes, because it's the nuggets you deserve ??

This year's Olympic Games boasts an impressive record of more than 300 events across 32 sports, featuring four exciting newcomers in the agenda ?? Including surf that will catch waves in faraway Tahiti, sport climbing, breakdancing making its Olympic debut too in Place de la Concorde, and promise to be amazing as skateboarding ??

Don't ask me about the budget of €8.8 billion that Paris 2024 is floating on, but something I'm sure is that they have been shaking things up to be one of the biggest and most captivating Summer Olympics ever ?? At the moment you'll read me, they sold 8.6 million tickets total. Literally it's a record for Paris Olympics, as this number exceeded the previous all-time ticket sales record of 8.3 million set by the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. As the world gears up for the Games, a global sponsorship frenzy has naturally unfolded. Several companies are lining up to support this prestigious event and the selecting nations. Prepare to be exposed by a wave of campaigns and simultaneous messages at once. Here’s a few that scotched my mind

Along with all the creative marketing campaigns that aligned with the purpose of each around it, brands jumped on the iconic moment and sensational exposure of the competition to produce some truly on-brand and aesthetically pleasing marketing campaigns.

Allyson Felix teamed-up with the brand to launch a nursery at the Olympics Village with brand wipes and nappies available on-site, plus spaces for playtime and family bonding. For the first time in the Olympic and Paralympic Games, Pampers? is creating a comfortable and convenient environment for athlete parents to connect with their babies and young children to enjoy precious moments together in the Athletes’ Village during Paris 2024. The nursery will provide a space for playtime and family bonding and cater to all babies and their diapering needs with Pampers highest quality diapers and wipes. This initiative was powered by Emma Terho through an initiative by the IOC Athletes’ Commission. To ensure there is enough space for those with infants and toddlers, the comfortable nursery will be available to athlete parents with children of nappy/diaper-wearing age, and their dedicated caregivers ????

To use the space, you need to request a guest pass for your child and their dedicated caregiver from your NOC well in advance. This will facilitate timely processing and access to the space. You can register here if you want to book a slot in the nursery space.

The Olympic spotlight isn't just shining on Pampers even if it's one of the innovative experiences that pinched me for sure, what I observe is that P&G is leveraging its global platform for broader brand initiatives.?Always, the Official Period Product of Paris 2024, is launching the It's a New Period campaign, tackling the often-overlooked issue of period anxiety in sports. This demonstrates P&G's commitment to athlete well-being beyond just childcare.


Beside their global activations they will dress up the entire Athletes' Village on many aspects such as:

  • Laundry Rooms supplied by Ariel: Athletes will experience outstanding cleaning performance when they bring their clothes and uniforms to the laundry rooms for cold water washing laundry services supplied by Ariel, the Official Laundry Product of Paris 2024.
  • Dental Clinic with Oral-B ? will give athletes the confidence of healthy smiles, offering athletes access to general and emergency dental services with high-performance Oral-B ?toothbrushes, toothpastes and oral care education.
  • Period Protection: Always and Tampax ? will provide period protection products in the restrooms throughout the Athletes’ Village.
