Summer Print Sale + A Peek Inside The Studio

Summer Print Sale + A Peek Inside The Studio

I rarely have sales of my work, but I decided to honor the season with a sale of water themed work and a new print. The latest post on my blog shows the collection, as well as some of the outtakes from the recent interview and studio photoshoot with The Uncommon Union.

Summer in the Pacific Northwest is a dizzying time, and for artists it can be a torment. We have been indoors all winter working and waiting, and now the light is out and there are actual shadows, which creates form, and relief, and excitement and we don't have to "make light up" out of a gray monochromatic fog. How to balance a work ethic with the desire to be outside (plus all your friends are "camping....") (Instagram, I hate you.) The new print above, The Crimson Monarch, celebrates that state of mind when the light comes out in the evening and the wind blows off the Sound. It blends paint, found industrial texture, and photography. I do get away from the computer and out with my camera whenever possible. Always looking for the Moment.

Visit my website to see this collection of limited edition prints, available at a fifty percent discount until the end of August.
