Summer? Let’s do this!

OK, I’m going there; summer is almost here. I know it doesn’t feel like it, but we’re just 2 weeks away from June, and do you know what that means? Peak wedding season is ON. Anyone in the wedding industry will know it doesn’t get any busier for venues than the next 4 months, with packed diaries of long-awaited weddings leaving no time for anything else. But what would you say if I told you there has never been a better time to sell your venue than during summer?

A juggling act

As someone who has worked in the wedding venue business for a long time, I know it’s probably one of the last things you want to hear. Summer is always full-on and I’m sure you’re wondering where on earth you’re meant to find the time to give your attention to all the new enquiries that come your way over the next few months. But summer really is one of the best times to sell your venue. 

For a start, it’s the second busiest season for engagements. Summer holidays – even other people’s weddings – bring out the romantic in us all and what follows is a huge number of proposals and, of course, an inevitable desire to start wedding planning. The truth is, you need to be on it.

Think about the future

While you may be confident in how well your 2023 wedding season is looking, what about future bookings? Be honest – do you think your standards may be slipping when it comes to a speedy response time? If answering enquiry emails is starting to fall further down your list of priorities, or even unintentionally getting overlooked, you really need to find a solution to the problem.
