Summer Internship Experience

I kickstarted my journey with 世邦魏理仕 on 6th June, 2022. 世邦魏理仕 is the world’s largest commercial real estate services and investment company, with the #1 global market position in leasing, property sales, outsourcing, property management and valuation. 世邦魏理仕 is also the largest commercial property developer in the United States. Its more than 105,000 employees serve clients in over 100 countries, including over 90% of the Fortune 100.

Summer Internship at 世邦魏理仕 is an extremely engaging and rewarding experience as I collaborated with the Digital and Technology's Global Enterprise Platforms Unit.

As a Software Engineering Intern focusing Data Science and Analytics, my responsibilities included ELT (Extract, Load and Transform) operations, analyzing sets of cluttered data, deriving meaningful insights and finally showcasing a user-confined dashboard.?I had to encounter several high proficient tools like Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics and Novedades BI . These 10 weeks summer internship program at 世邦魏理仕 is not just a life learning experience but also fun and thrill ride that I boarded. Alongside all the technical specialties that I gained, skills like business etiquettes and formal presentational attributes are a plus. It was an absolute honor to work with some sharp and diligent gentlemen who were not just groomed with data engineering, data science or machine learning but also possess the ability to predict and resolve the issues that could occur in an existing pipeline of tasks.

I would like to give a huge shout out to my manager, Scott Wafford , for always being there for me on every step of the journey. Special regards to my teammates Mark Dang and Kanaka Mohan, for always guiding me and help me navigate through my difficult times. Lastly, I would like to thank my recruiter Hayley Murphy , my team and the people I collaborated hands with at the firm for an unforgettable summer experience. Last but not the least I would like to thank Professor Gaurav Shekhar and Mark Thouin from bottom of my heart for guiding me through the correct path and helping me clear all the hurdles on it. This is not the end of my journey, as I will be continuing with 世邦魏理仕 in the Fall semester as well and I am confident enough that future here is even brighter.
