Summer Internship 2023 Experience

As an intern, I found myself immersed in an enriching environment, surrounded by supportive mentors who encouraged my curiosity and valued my contributions. Each day presented new challenges and opportunities, and I embraced them with a thirst for knowledge and a determination to make a meaningful impact.

I witnessed firsthand the power of data-driven decision-making in the healthcare industry during my tenure. My automation project not only streamlined processes but also ensured that vital patient information was readily available to healthcare professionals, enabling them to provide better and more efficient care. It was incredibly rewarding to know that my work directly contributed to enhancing patient outcomes.

Redesigning the dashboard was another significant achievement during my internship. Through Power BI, I transformed raw data into meaningful visualizations, empowering physicians to delve deeper into insights and make informed decisions. Knowing that my work contributed to empowering medical professionals filled me with a sense of purpose.

Beyond the technical skills I acquired, the internship experience taught me the importance of teamwork and collaboration. Engaging with colleagues not only expanded my professional network but also exposed me to various tools and methodologies used throughout the organization.

The internship program's highlights extended beyond the office walls. Company-sponsored events provided unique insights into the broader impact of our work. Visiting the facilities allowed me to witness the direct application of our analytics solutions, underscoring the importance of what we do in contributing to the overall growth and success of the company. A defining moment during the program was the opportunity to interact with the CEO. His words illuminated the organization's vision and mission, and I felt a profound connection to the company's purpose. It became evident that even as an intern, I had a role to play in achieving those goals, and this realization fueled my motivation to give my best.

As my summer internship program at Christus Health draws to a close, I have a sense of gratitude and accomplishment. This experience has instilled in me a lifelong passion for data analytics and its potential to drive positive change in the healthcare landscape. Last but certainly not least, I am grateful to our Program Director Gaurav Shekhar , and Program Manager Sivya Leventhal for their constant support and encouragement.
