Summer hours, graduations and launching on TikTok: What Loud Llama got up to in July

An just like that we're nearly half way into August! From client anniversaries to summer hours and herd graduations, things are as exciting as ever at Loud Llama.?Here's what we got up to...

We celebrated our 2 year anniversary with Llanmoor Homes

This month we’re celebrating two years with our wonderful client, Llanmoor Homes, who we have been working with from the agency’s infancy.?

Since we took over Llanmoor Homes’ social media accounts, we’ve grown their audience by 48% and boosted their engagement rate to 4.2% per impression. Social media platforms have transformed drastically since 2020, and to keep up with the times we’ve altered our strategy along with these changes.?

Our new summer hours were rolled out

According to the Institute of Directors, better benefits were one of the top 3 reasons why millennials changed jobs in 2020, and at Loud Llama we’re all about a happy herd. We’ve already got flexible hours in place, allowing our staff to work around their schedules.

This month we rolled out our summer hours scheme to allow our herd to get out in the sunshine when they need it. With our new summer hours, our staff can take advantage of half days up to six times from July to September.?

Our Account Executive, Daisy, used her summer hours to get ready for a wedding.?

Our campaign came to a close with Visit Bridgend?

It’s a rather bittersweet announcement as our Instagram campaign came to a close with Visit Bridgend. Starting in November 2021, we’ve loved working with a local council to completely transform their Instagram page. We churned out some pretty good results too!

  • 667% surge in engagement
  • 290% boosted reach
  • 49% increase in followers

From scroll-stopping imagery and short and snappy captions to meaningful and consistent engagement, we worked hard to turn Visit Bridgend into a must-visit destination in South Wales. Have you checked it out yet?

Anna celebrated her belated graduation from Cardiff University

Whilst our PR and Social Media Executive, Anna graduated from Cardiff University in 2021, unfortunately, she didn’t get to celebrate until this summer due to Covid-19. Better late than never though, right?

Although belated, Anna celebrated in style in the Principality Stadium, joined by famous faces including Huw Edwards and Cerys Matthews.?

It was through a Cardiff University placement scheme that Anna joined us at Loud Llama on an initial three-month period. Ten months down the line, it has certainly flown by.?

“As a Human Geography graduate, marketing and PR isn’t the obvious career path to follow but I can’t say I’ve ever been a by-the-book kind of person. Throughout my degree, I learned to write press releases and distribute news, so it’s great to be putting that into practice at Loud Llama.” said Anna.

Loud Llama X TikTok

When it comes to social media, we’re so focused on producing big results for our clients that we forget to post ourselves (relatable?) But we’re specialists in social media after all so it’s only right we gave TikTok a crack ourselves. The videos might be pretty silly, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously around here, and often encourage our clients to follow suit when it comes to sharing themselves on socials.

From day's in the life to a PR’s pet hates, this silliness has churned out some pretty big results, with one of last week’s videos reaching 24.1K views! Check it out!

Events are back!?

Paris and her prestige car dealer brother, Rory, headed to a business breakfast in aid of St David’s Hospice. Located in the newly-opened Mercure Hotel Newport, and hosted by Journalist and Broadcaster, Sian Lloyd, the breakfast included talks from a pretty inspiring panel from Loft Co to Tiny Rebel Brewing.?

“The event was a great opportunity for Newport businesses to celebrate how far we’ve come and brainstorm how we can work together to create a better future for the city. We both left the event proud of our business base and excited for things to comesaid Paris.

We helped grant dreams and wishes to special children across South Wales

Dreams and Wishes is a wonderful charity that grants the dreams and wishes of seriously ill children and their families in South Wales. We offer PR and social media on a pro-bono basis to the charity, helping to share their great work with as many people as possible.?

This month, we’ve secured lots of local press to ensure the charity’s good work is being seen and heard. Check out a recent piece of coverage we secured about the amazing Dan Allerton who ran a massive 100 miles to raise money for the charity.

As you might have realised, we’re experts at getting your brand seen and heard! If you’re looking to spruce things up through social media or PR, get in touch with our friendly team [email protected]
