Summer Engagements: Progressing our Geoenergy Solution

Earlier this summer, I visited the Celsius Energy team in Clamart and discussed the team's vision and ambition with them.

Celebrating Celsius Energy's First Commercial Application

We celebrated the commencement of operation of the first commercial installation of the Celsius Energy solution which is currently providing essential cooling during the heat of the European summer in Brittany, France. Accommodating about 130?people a day?over a total of 6,660 sq meters, the building is an interesting combination of historical buildings and new construction. The installation will account for a 75% reduction in energy consumption and will lower CO2 emissions by 86%.

The installation is monitored and optimized by the Celsius Energy management system. This is a much-needed solution to replacing the building's conventional cooling and heating system in anticipation of winter and potential challenges regarding natural gas resource access in the region.

Drawing Power from the Earth to Heat and Cool a 12,000m2 Building?

In February this year, we announced an exciting project for implementing a Geoenergy heating and cooling solution for Optic 2000 's 12,000m2 headquarters in Clamart, France.?

The Celsius Energy solution will provide thermal comfort to the building and workshop where 450 people work. Cindy Demichel and Sylvain Thierry , respectively CEO, COO and co-founders of Celsuis Energy and I had the opportunity to meet with Benoit Jaubert Managing Director of Optic 2000 group and Florence Jobic-Bouchard , Facilities Manager, Optic 2000 group.

We talked about how the solution supports Optic2000 in its sustainability ambitions and carbon emissions reduction by choosing geoenergy to power its facility. By making the jump to geoenergy, the Paris 2024 Olympic sponsor will reduce energy consumption by 38% and reduce CO2 emissions by 71%.

I now look forward to the inauguration of the installation!
