Summer Buzz, No Fuss

What have we been up to during the sunny summer days??

Well, there was a lot of lounging, refreshing drinks and much knowledge to be shared around!?

What did you miss at BurgasConf?

Tsvetan Smardanski during his presentation.

Our .NET Technology Manager and Burgas Site Lead – Tsvetan S. took the stage at this year's edition of BurgasConf!

His topic was “Testing in production: GitHub Copilot” during which Tsvetan shared his insight on our recent study on AI-assisted coding and GitHub Copilot's revolutionary impact on software development with real-life projects and data.

SofTIS Summer Camp 2024

Part of the SoftTIS gang

Our lovely seaside Varna office was host to the first ever SofTIS Summer Camp, organized by the "Software Technologies and Information Systems" (SofTIS) section of the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences

The camp was filled with various topics and challenges arising in the integration of scientific research and software development.

Alexander Mihaylov, Varna Site Lead and Front-end Technology Manager during his presentation.

It was a truly enlightening week, which started the discussion and work towards:

?? the acceleration of the innovation process through the integration of researchers and entrepreneurs

?? the fragmentation of the research potential in Bulgaria

?? the attraction of young curious people with interests, energy and capabilities and already established scientists to teams and consortia working with businesses

Our team was the very AIBEST

Out of 12 competing teams, Guardians of the Galaxy won the AIBEST Tech Academy competition! Over the span of three weeks, 10th and 11th grade students from Burgas worked on developing a homework application and presenting it to a jury.

We are quite proud as their galactic mentor in this endeavor (for the second year in a row!) was Nikola Netzov , Senior .NET Software Engineer at Scalefocus.?

During the whole tech academy all student teams and their mentors had to develop a homework application, and...well the best ones took the prize home! Congratulations to our winners!

Boosting up our Summer Mood with our Scalefocus Swag

What is summer...nay! Life! Without a splash of color? In the Scalefocus palette, of course. ??

Taking the spotlight at ISTA

Well look who is going to be a speaker at this year’s ISTA Conference - our Senior .NET Software Engineer Nikola Netzov ! ??

Nikola will share our experience with GitHub Copilot and how AI is revolutionizing code generation. There is a lot of practical insight based on our study and our real-world use cases, so you’ll be in for a treat.

So look out for his topic “AI Writing Our Code. Real Experience. Real Opportunities. Real Data.” during the hybrid event.
