A Summer Of BIG Releases
Northern Heart
We craft heart-warming content that sparks inspiration and fuels brand advocacy.
As the vibrant colours of Autumn start to emerge, we can't help but reflect on a wonderful Summer of big releases. Our followers have finally gotten to see our latest short documentaries, Joy Uncensored, and, Finding Appiness, as both were made public for the very first time!
Joy Uncensored
After 64-years of living life quietly, retired school teacher Joy France is on a mission to be heard. After finding her voice in the form of spoken-word poetry, Joy attempts to take her new found passion to another level by competing in the brutal world of battle rap.
As soon as Joy Uncensored hit the public's eye, the entire nation embraced Joy's inspiring tale. In just a matter of days, the film generated over 10,000 views, and the media was ablaze with praise for Joy's incredible journey, with articles featuring in The Guardian and the BBC.
The buzz surrounding her story eventually led Joy and our team to the heart of London for a special appearance on ITV 's Good Morning Britain. There, Joy and her best pal, Skully, took centre stage and delivered a live rap performance on national television.
But beneath the bold lyrics and spirited rhymes, Joy's mission runs deeper. She's driven by a profound desire to inspire others who may be struggling to find their own voices. Joy's message is crystal clear: by embracing the unknown and daring to challenge ourselves, we can unlock a world of personal growth.
Finding 'Appiness
As September marks #RecoveryMonth, the timing couldn't have been more fitting for the release of our short film Finding 'Appiness, funded by British Film Institute (BFI) Doc Society and Iambic Dream Inc .

After 70 years of keeping a devastating secret, eccentric fashionista Allan Bradbury is the journey to recovery. By opening up about his childhood trauma can he find true ‘appiness in later life?
Allan agreed to making this film with us because he had a burning need to share his story of recovery so that he could help those struggling with their own battles.
Little did we know that the person this film would help the most was the director herself. Natasha Hawthornthwaite went through her own journey of self discovery which transformed her life for the better.
Finding 'Appiness recently screened at the Face & Voices of Recovery Uk annual conference and "It went down a storm, not a dry eye in the house".
You can now watch Finding 'Appiness on Youtube.
