Summer 2023 Experience at Flexcar

During the summer of my internship with Flexcar Atlanta Georgia, I had the incredible opportunity to work as an Intern in the Market Operations and Strategy team. This experience not only honed my data analysis skills but also allowed me to play a vital role in shaping the company's future. One of my primary projects involved spearheading the development of Flexcar innovative at-home car delivery model. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, I utilized my data analysis expertise to identify customer preferences and behaviors. Witnessing the transformation of this idea was truly fulfilling.

Additionally, I was tasked with building a comprehensive home delivery operations model tailored to Atlanta's unique market and customers. By conducting in-depth research and analyzing relevant data, I helped build and optimize the delivery model and process.

Furthermore, I took on the challenge of restructuring operations hours to align with customer demands. Through detailed analysis using Looker dashboards for market demands, I evaluated customer preferences, in-demand pickup time slots and days, peak demand hours,s and favorite locations for pickups. This valuable information enabled the team to make informed decisions, efficiently allocate resources, and enhance overall operational efficiency.

In pursuit of delivering a top-notch user experience, I delved into market research to understand our customers better. Analyzing data on customer credit ratings, preferred car brands, top pickups and locations, and average subscription period by subscribers, I provided actionable insights to refine Flexcar’s services and cater to our diverse clientele effectively. Throughout the internship, I felt privileged to be part of Flexcar's Project X 2.0.

My contributions to working around data and building models played a significant role in driving this progress and optimizing the company's operations and strategy. Working alongside passionate and dynamic colleagues, especially Clayton Callander & Ashlee Delauney , I experienced the fast-paced world of business firsthand. The mentorship I received from the team was invaluable, and I emerged from the internship with newfound skills, confidence, and a passion for using data to make a meaningful impact. My summer internship at Flexcar was an enriching journey, merging the realms of data analysis, operations, and strategy making. It solidified my career aspirations and deepened my appreciation for the power of data in shaping successful businesses. I am grateful for this transformative experience and the lasting connections I made during my time at Flexcar.
