Green List Malta holiday guide
Malta is officially on the Green List from the 30th of June. The Maltese government require all arrivals from the United Kingdom to present proof of full vaccination. This will show you received a full course of vaccination at least 2 weeks before your arrival. If you are a child between 12-18 you will also need to be vaccinated. However, children aged 5-11 can travel if they are accompanying their vaccinated parents/legal guardian but they must show evidence of a negative PCR test. Children under 5 do not need to be vaccinated or need a test.?For more information about Malta travel requirements and the UK, click here.

Things to do on holiday in Malta
For the second part of our Malta holiday guide, we will be discussing the best things to do whilst on your travels. Everything ranging from learning about Malta’s history to fun activities to the best places to eat!
Explore Valletta
Inside St. Johns Co-Cathedral
Malta is made up of 3 islands, Malta, Gozo and Comino. There are also 2 other smaller islands with no permanent residents. The combined population of these islands is around 500,000 which is less than the population of Cornwall! Most of the population live in Malta’s capital Valletta.
Valletta is full of stunning architecture, including St. Johns Co-Cathedral which was built in the 1500s. Malta has a high Roman Catholic population so St. Johns Co-Cathedral is an important part of Maltese history.
To see the best parts of Valletta, we would recommend walking tours or taking a boat to gaze at the city from the ocean.
Go diving in the best waters in Europe
You can see up to 5 different species of turtles in Malta
Diving in Malta is extremely interesting and a once in a lifetime experience, the perfect addition for a Malta holiday guide. Malta has some of the best waters for diving in Europe. This is due to Malta having a water temperature of up to 25 degrees Celsius in the summer and having the beautifully clear water of the Mediterranean.
There are also over 80 ship and air wrecks in the waters surrounding Malta, 15 of which are regularly explored by divers. The wrecks mostly come from The Seige of Malta in WWII when the allies fought against Germany and Italy to keep control of Malta.
