The Sum of all Light
Since my first encounter with cancer in my early 30’s, I have been on a quest to understand healing—physical, mental, spiritual and emotional healing, by experiencing as many healing modalities as possible: meditation, positive visualization, the color and motion of art, the uplifting nature of music, the love for the quiet page and creative writing. Even Reiki and other forms of energy healing.
So I ask: What is healing? It means different things to different people. I spoke with a “survivor" faced with pancreatic cancer; she told me healing meant going on to her next life, for she had the love of her God. She died several weeks after our conversation. To a pharma company or her doctor, her death was a tragedy, not a healing. Yet, she told me was was healed.
Yes, healing means different things to different people.
Please know that I am in total awe and admiration for the science and technology of medicine. Without it, I would not be here. AND, I embrace whole patient care, whole patient healing. Healing of a person, an organization, a country, a world.
I ask you: what is healing? I am grateful if you share your thoughts here on the page. If you are in agreement, I will pair your wisdom with my art and will then post. This is an important body of knowledge that can be used by others to heal. Your light contributes to the sum of all Light.
Thank you, Patricia
THANK YOU for your lovely words, Tracey!

3 年I agree, healing means different things to different people! I believe healing can take place in each and every stage of disease, recovery and, yes, even in our final moments. It is something we should all embrace and strive for even in the hardest moments. Thank you, Patricia for bringing this awareness.
