In Sum - AI keeps your Beer colder

Earlier this week, I had a chance to participate in a wonderful Microsoft Copilot event at Bechtle UK headquarters in Chippenham. It was amazing to see how the latest AI tools can help our clients’ businesses transform and I was grateful to be a part of the team that organised it (we have some brilliant talent at Bechtle that made it a really great event) and with our partners from Microsoft and Westcoast in speaking on the day.
?
I know I repeat myself but for almost any business that wants to be more efficient, more effective, more responsive, and more agile – tools like Copilot are, in my opinion, as big a revolution as the internet (or more precisely the web) at the beginning of my career in IT. We all know how that changed the business world, and the whole world, completely.
?
In the broader marketplace it is clear that AI is already driving growth – NVIDIAs strong earnings report is continuing to drive global markets to record highs. Now I'm not in the business of making predictions on stock prices or results but when Mark Zuckerberg declares Meta will buy 350,000 of your chips by the end of the year (which I understand sell for around $40,000 each it seems safe to assume that they'll continue to do well.
?
Indeed, some of the attention on NVIDIA’s sales performance revealed some interesting tidbits – there are a number of nation states making significant purchases it seems that AI isn't just good business its good statescraft too. All the more reason to be nice to it, who wants to be the one marked when our robot overlords take over… last night one of their number landed on the moon with Intuitive Machines Odysseus as well. What a time to be alive!

Anyway, I digress but I thought I'd share an example of the real-world impact Copilot has had for me in my work life. One of my colleagues had arranged a meeting late last week with a client with an interesting networking project. We'd agreed to review the documentation they had and come back with a proposal on how to proceed with deployment as their current provider had encountered some difficulties.
?
Well, the documents showed we'd need to spend some considerable time on redesign work and so I agreed I'd help write an email explaining the situation. The week was busier than I'd expected, and I found myself in the pub after work pint in hand realising I hadn't managed to get back to him. Luckily Copilot on Outlook for IOS was able to take a short paragraph explaining the situation and turn it into a fantastic email draft in under a minute…I kept my promise to have draft that day, the client had the information they'd need to make a decision and all without my pint getting cold or my friends getting annoyed at half an hour of ignoring them.
