In my last post, I mentioned that I have written an email to my employers, BY Solutions. I got back their response, wait for it, oh well, there is nothing much to tell because I got fired. No, I have no squirms over it because I know that I acted within limits and the limits set out by my employer.

My professional relationship began with an image. This image left upon me an impression of imperialism, it was dashed to pieces when I joined the company. On day one, we were told to remain online even in the case when an order has not been assigned to an employee. Next we were told that failing to do it, would result in a deduction of PKR 250 per day. I stayed, my say and joined the company, this stay began to get stretched and stopped at more than four days. I began accepting work from my former employer and informed about this development.

Anyways, they began giving me work from 6th February 2023, all went fine until Wednesday, I was called to an entire staff meeting on 10:30 AM. The meeting began with discussion over a senior writer's work, it lasted for more than an hour. Well, this time loss disrupted my work and I was not able to deliver it by 5:46 PM. Muhammad Yaqoob then told me that the presentation looks bland and has around eighteen references. You do not find this comment funny reader, well, this message was sent at around 7:30 PM, one and half hour after 6:00 PM, the time agreed between company and me as an end of shift for a day. Moreover, the company policy is giving fifteen references per 1,000 words, I was giving 1,200 words, 12 slides, even then I worked the issues around.

I then sought for setting a future way forward and shot an email, in response, I the man wearing suit met me and told me that I shall not be able to manage the pressure from two employees and therefore was of no use to them. I requested the suited professional to reread the email, in which the term meeting not work from my other employer was the reason. For the record reader, that day I have not been given a technical work from my other employer. The problem was caused because of brazen requests thrown at me in an off time and without a compensation. Is that a professionalism? Just look at the captioned image, people in it are also wearing a suit but observe their eyes, their postures, are they poignant? No. The reason, suiting up and booting up like a professional does not make you one, rather acting within limits offered and agreed can permit the parties to cooperate in the long-term.
