Suffering from Long Covid or Covid vaccine side effects? You need an osteopath!

Suffering from Long Covid or Covid vaccine side effects? You need an osteopath!

A patient came to me a few months back. She was in her mid- to late 20's, and complaining about some pretty grim side-effects from the Covid vaccine.

After her second dose, she started feeling dizziness, confusion, and getting migraines.

As the weeks went on, her symptoms got worse and worse, and were really quite terrifying: she experienced paralysis and couldn’t walk without assistance – her legs just froze at times. She had facial spasms and seizures. She had insomnia and was permanently fatigued, and she kept blacking out.

The list went on and on and on…

She went to her GP who referred her to a neurologist, who referred her back to her GP saying he couldn't help her.

At her GP appointment, she collapsed. Her doctor thought she was having a heart attack.

Accident & Emergency said she was having a hemiplegic migraine and sent her back to the GP…

And that's when she decided to give osteopathy a try.

Readers, you know I love a good mystery. I put my deerstalker on, metaphorically speaking. (But if you know me, you know I actually prefer a trilby.)

When I examined her, I found some mechanical restriction in her pelvic and sacral areas, which explained the difficulty she was having with walking, and her balance issues. There was also some restriction in her upper spine and neck, which explained her dizziness and was adding to her balance issues.

Readers, I decided to use some of the advanced cranio-sacral techniques in my armoury.

Six treatments later, my patient’s walking had improved, to the extent that she was walking without a stick. Her hips felt looser, and her joint pain had reduced dramatically. She was sleeping and eating better, and feeling generally pretty normal again; she’d had a holiday to help her recuperate, and she was heading back to work soon.

The power of osteopathy – it’s unlimited, as far as I can tell.

I never cease to be amazed by the marvels of the human body and all the interconnectivity involved in making this complex series of organisms work efficiently.

When one system’s offline, it affects the entire body. And my osteopathic training helps me to understand how to get things back online.

So if you’re a bit ‘off, and there’s no logical, explainable reason for it, why not give osteopathy a try?

You’ll find me in my mind palace in Chorlton. Look out for the trilby.

Osteopathy. For Covid-19. For whatever's offline. Because #OsteopathyWorks.

It seems that Covid and the Covid Vaccine can cause widespread vasculitis. It is a vascular disease not a respiratory disease. I am not sure what you did with your patient that made the change, but it was good that you were able to help.
