4. New LinkedIn Feature – Add Career Break
I have always encouraged my clients who are not currently working to mention that their current job on LinkedIn is ‘Career Research – Job Title, Keywords etc.’ LinkedIn has now given you an opportunity to call it ‘Career transition’ although it doesn’t give you the opportunity to give it a Job Title so I cannot confirm that you will appear in recruiter and decision-maker search results.
LinkedIn Experience – Add Career Break
There are several other choices as well (as you can see below). I am excited to see Retirement as an option and I hope that it encourages people to keep their LinkedIn profile after they have finished working so that they can keep their network alive, especially if they decide at a later point that retirement isn’t what they initially expected!

LinkedIn Add Career Break Option – yes or no?
5. Monthly musing
As we ‘ramp back up’ in our ‘new normal,’ what do we keep and what do we release? What do we reinstate to keep ourselves healthy? I encourage you to be brave as you move forward.
Enjoy the rest of your day and cheers for now, Sue ??
