It is said, “Be Yourself but always your better self”. Our #EduBridger, this week, is someone who is constantly working towards being a better version of himself. A trainer, who believes in being patient and having a positive attitude. According to him, patience is missing in people these days. People scroll down without completely watching a 30-sec reel. Think about it!
He believes that having #patience and the right attitude will lead us to #success. Throughout our chat, he was calm and that’s how I have always seen him. I’m sure that all his colleagues also recognize him in the same way. He is none other than Sudip Patra, our #BCBF #Trainer.
Sudip Patra is indeed a resident of the Land of Theatre & Singers – West Bengal! Hailing from Hoogly district, he is hands-on (quite literally!) with tabla, singing, harmonium, draws and paints, and even recites Bengali poems.
Sudip credits his father for #inspiring him to learn. His father takes care of their ancestral business of a grocery shop. However, he is still a learner & believes in catching up with today’s market trends from YouTube. Believe it or not, he has now started trading, as a challenge to the loss he incurred from an IPO. Impressive, right?
So, now we get it. The attitude that Sudip carries is from his father. As a child, Sudip was not that good at studies, but in class 8 he developed an interest in mathematics. Then there was no looking back. From mere 40 marks, he went to score 84 on his annual exam. This led him to choose Math honours at graduation. His liking for Math helped him in scoring well in Statistics during his #MBA years. Realizing his expertise in the subject, his college friends started approaching him for help. This made him popular in his Institute and he ended up helping other students as well. Before the semester ended, Sudip had taught 18 students in a group & some of them credited Sudip’s teaching methods for them clearing those exams.
After completing his MBA, he started his career in the #banking sector. Due to his banking experience, he was offered a job as a #trainer. This was the turning point in his life as he wasn’t even aware of a job profile of a trainer. According to him, moving to the training industry was the right decision. Considering his #performance, the project was extended and he continued working as a trainer.
Talking about his selection in #EduBridge brought a smile to his face. He takes pride in being part of an organization that is growing #10X. Though his tenure, currently, is 1 year 4 months, he has spent more than 2 years in #EB. Before the pandemic, he was working as a trainer with the coveted government project- #DDUGKY. However, due to the closure of the center, he had to leave. In the meanwhile, he did not let keep himself away from the field & kept on taking training roles on a contractual basis. He had the opportunity to complete his #TTT from Tata Strive.
When Sudip received a call from #EduBridge in the year 2021 for joining back, he quickly grabbed the opportunity. His experience so far has made him a #happyemployee. He appreciates the #HRpolicies, the #structure of the organization, and the #learning concept. He claims to have learned new topics from the #GROWTH #Program. Our organization is allowing him to #upskill under the #employeedevelopment program.
One of the best parts of working here is the #workfromhome policy. This provides a work-life balance to our employees. There was a twinkle in his eyes when he told me about his daughter who is 1 and a half years old. As he was working from home, he feels blessed for being able to spend time with his newborn.
He took this opportunity to #thank #EduBridge for being considerate toward the employees.
According to Sudip, learning is very important as the world is changing constantly. So, his growth will also take a standstill if he doesn’t keep learning. He instills the same attitude in his #learners. When his learners complain about traveling for 1 hour to work or college, he shares his experience of travelling for 5 hours daily to work. If EB didn’t have the work-from-home policy, he would have travelled for 3 hours to reach the office daily.
Now, Sudip wants to change peoples’ lives in whichever way he can. So, he also takes tuition for the students from his village and plans to teach the #underprivileged students free of cost. He makes sure that he is clear on the concepts himself before he teaches them.
He believes #spirituality is the aspect that helps in staying patient and #optimistic. He is part of a spiritual group and also is reading a book on spirituality to enhance his learning in that segment. He believes he has huge potential and will explore it shortly.
His goal in life is to bring smiles to peoples’ faces by helping them.
We wish Sudip Patra succeeds in his plans and makes a difference in others’ life.
