"The deepest principle in human nature is the craving to be appreciated."
- William James
It's the time of year when people shift their focus by taking time to count their blessings. Giving thanks is a powerful way to lift our spirits, adjust our attitudes and gain the proper perspective on life. Giving thanks feels good!
Too often gratitude is turned inward. We consider our blessings and celebrate the good as if we were on an island. We think of how others have improved our life, but we neglect to tell them. Multiply the impact of gratitude by giving thanks to those who have helped you.
There's a craving deep within every person you know. They are craving for appreciation. They want to know that their contribution does make a difference. Demonstrate appreciation to the people in your life. Tell them - Thank You!
List your blessings. Who did what to make it possible? Make time and personally appreciate each person who is enhancing your life. Be specific and give appreciation to each one.
