The contemporary times mark cultures and societies where thriving businesses and key-sector economies bloom under fantastic women, who redefine leadership and culture through its stereotypes. Undeniably, a lot has been done so far- a lot yet to go. Tracing this majestic journey of women out of the shells, as change makers and trailblazers to this world, we are reminded of some strongest personalities that this world has seen. “A winning female lead” as they say, are those gallant forerunners who have not just inspired generations with their stories of rising above and beyond challenges, but have hoped for women to follow, actively perceive challenges and then rise together.

Apurva Purohit, an Indian businesswoman and writer elucidates on what support and strength mean to create winning females in the country. She states, “I was brought up to occupy less space than I deserve. But the promise we need to make for ourselves and the generation of women that are yet to come is that we will be the change makers- we will no longer be victims to our story, not bystanders, but the lead". Apurva's narration is indeed the first lesson to note on what winning female leaders think like. The best advice on women empowerment have come from the ones who have been an active participant in the process of bringing grass root changes in the entire ordeal- on how women all around can be better- at work and in life.

The Mogul founder and CEO Tiffany Pham is another stirring story that all aspiring women entrepreneurs should listen to. In her answer to how female leaders are built, she says- "When you have an idea, just get started. Put pen to paper. Don’t worry about it being perfect at the beginning. Rapidly prototype, and iterate toward perfection over time. Next, reach out to your 50 role models. Not just one, but 50. Ask to collaborate with them, so you can learn from them while you support their projects and initiatives. In this way, you learn from the best of the best. And in the process, become genuine friends. Finally, be kind, authentic, and generous. Give, give, and give. Because that’s the energy you’re giving off, and that’s the energy you’re getting back. Momentum will continue to arise in this way."

While some emerging leaders make the mistake of starting off with ideas of aggressive building, manning up and absolute control to be the features of leadership that they draw onto, in reality this is far from healthy. The experiences of men and women in leadership roles are unanimously very different while the traits of the greatest leaders are all the same- but little to do with adjectives of masculinity. The best tip for rising women assuming positions for power is to bring their value base as their guiding notes to build her leadership style around. Have great networking and communication, build a community of supporters who you can support too and remember that your leadership style doesn't need to fit into any existing standards, but stand out in all ways you wish for.

Other important lessons to remember include the ones on knowledge, ambition and courage. If you're going to run a business, you need to understand all the connected facades of it. Growing as a leader, seek to actively learn from the books, from people around, from your personal experiences and of that of others. Keep the learning curve active and growing to be at your best. Ambition is another key driver that all successful and shining women have in common. Try at best to outperform yourself everyday over others. Set goals for yourself and stop believing anything that labels "impossible". Tiffany Pham explains this as "Achieving the 'impossible' is usually possible with hard work and unwavering dedication.”When you set yourself up for success, you often surpass what once seemed impossible. Not just for grades or accolades, but because there is no better feeling than doing your best, whatever your best might be." The last tip is to build on the courage- through the steps, through the smaller achievement, through the support of others till you finally make your way to your roaring best potential. Cheers!?
