Ask to collaborate with them, so you can learn from them while you support their projects and initiatives. In this way, you learn from the best of the best. And in the process, become genuine friends. Finally, be kind, authentic, and generous. Give, give, and give. Because that’s the energy you’re giving off, and that’s the energy you’re getting back. Momentum will continue to arise in this way."

While some emerging leaders make the mistake of starting off with ideas of aggressive building, manning up and absolute control to be the features of leadership that they draw onto, in reality this is far from healthy. The experiences of men and women in leadership roles are unanimously very different while the traits of the greatest leaders are all the same- but little to do with adjectives of masculinity. The best tip for rising women assuming positions for power is to bring their value base as their guiding notes to build her leadership style around. Have great networking and communication, build a community of supporters who you can support too and remember that your leadership style doesn't need to fit into any existing standards, but stand out in all ways you wish for.
