Successful Transgenders of Pakistan!

Talent can never be limited to gender. As we have seen in various examples. Leadership is what comes from the heart and your actions. It is your actions that define you, it is what you do that truly makes you who you are. Gender never defines success!

Allow us to share with you some profiles of the most successful Transgenders of Pakistan. They have indeed made Pakistan proud.

True is it not! No talents must be underutilized. It must be used to the fullest to make a difference positive difference in ones society.

1. Marvia Malik

This brings us to Marvia Malik.

Marvia Malik?is a Pakistani?transgender newsreader and media figure. An exceptional person, Marvia became the first openly?transgender?newsreader to appear on Pakistani television when making her first debut in 2018.

Being a brave noble individual who never gave up and persevered in the face of hardships, Marvia Malik is indeed the pride of Pakistan.

She began her career as a makeup artist in order to fund her higher studies, before moving into the world of mass media. In March 2018, Malik became the first openly transgender person to become a Pakistani News Broadcast Newsreader.

She is working with Kohenoor News "Azad Bhi Zimydar Bhi" the news channel that helped her develop in the field of journalism.

Her full aim was to change the way how transgenders in Pakistan are treated. To make sure that all the transgenders in our society are treated well. They are given equal job opportunities and given the respect that they deserve.

Her plan is to advocate property rights for trans persons in Pakistan. It is one of her demands that trans persons be given reservations in employment and parliament.

2. Rimal Ali

Rimal Ali?is a Pakistani transgender?model and professional dancer.

She is also a well-known person in the world of showbiz and acting. She has experience performing as an actress and model in many music videos. She is also working as an actress in two upcoming movies.

3. Aisha Mughal

Aisha Mughal is a Pakistani transgender who is a well-known Transgender Rights Expert & Researcher.

Talking about her education, she has obtained an MPhil degree in Human Resource Management?from?COMSATS University Islamabad. Aisha Mughal works in?the Ministry of Human Rights, Pakistan. There she serves as a transgender rights expert and?United Nations Development Programme Expert Consultant. In fact, this noble hardworking individual has been working for transgender rights in Pakistan since 2015.

Aisha Mughal represented Pakistan in a National Delegation at the UN CEDAW (Convention on Elimination of Discrimination Against Women) committee in Geneva, Switzerland in 2020. The CEDAW is a committee that works for women's rights as well as, their equal access to health, education, political participation, and employment. What makes this event unique is that it was the very first time in history that a transgender person has represented any country in a reporting procedure of an official UN treaty review.

Being a successful researcher, she has published research articles on Transgender people in peer-reviewed journals. She also played a key role as part of the National Task Force on Transgender Bill and in getting it approved for the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act, 2018. She has also worked at National Commission for Human Rights (NCHR), Government of Pakistan.

All and all, Aisha Mughal has worked tirelessly and has worked hard for promoting the rights of Transgender in Pakistan.

She is indeed a hero and a noble individual.

4. Nisha Rao

Nisha Rao is a Pakistani transgender lawyer, advocate and activist. As a lawyer, Nisha has dealt with over 50 cases regarding the transgender community.

She is the type of person who upholds the law and makes sure that fairness as well as justice thrives in a community.

In the year 2020, she became the first transgender law graduate in Pakistan.

Nisha Rao is a person with determination and strength. She has fought through all hardships in her life without giving up. It was her choice to pursue higher education and develop further in the professional area of her choice. After she completed college, she did a BA program at Karachi University, which specialized in International Relations.

Motivated to make a difference, Nisha Rao decided to pursue even higher studies and was admitted to Sindh Muslim Law College in 2015. The college's former principal, Mustafa Ali Mahesar, supported Nisha in her studies and also gave her private coaching in International Law. Later, thanks to her hardwork, as well as effort, Nisha Rao graduated in the year 2018.

Nisha Rao volunteered and served as legal advisors at numerous Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs). She also joined the Gender Interactive Alliance. This organization works for the rights of the transgender community.

Other than this, being a educationist as well, Nisha Rao also tutored many children in her area, to increase her income.
