Successful Project: Our E-Axle Solution for 2-Ton Light-Duty Trucks in South Korea

Project Initiation

In 2021, our company initiated a partnership with a South Korean vehicle manufacturer to develop an electric powertrain system for their new mini-truck project. The client's specific requirement was an electric axle capable of delivering a maximum power output of 60 kW.

Collaborative Development

To ensure project success, a collaborative approach was adopted. A dedicated WeChat group facilitated efficient communication and problem-solving between our engineering teams and the client. Our software engineers provided ongoing support, tailoring the system to the client's needs. Regular video conferences were held to address challenges and refine the e-powertrain.

Prototyping and Testing

Building upon the initial design, the client placed a second order in 2022 for vehicle verification. Close collaboration between our teams continued throughout this phase.

Project Success and Expansion

Our joint efforts culminated in the successful completion of vehicle verification tests in 2022. Impressed by the performance, the client expanded their product line to include eight models based on our electric powertrain system.

Long-term Partnership

Recognizing the value of our technical expertise and support, the client placed a substantial order for 1,000 sets of electric axle systems in late 2022. This marked a significant milestone in our partnership, solidifying our position as a leading provider of electric powertrain solutions.

Benefits of the Electric Axle System

Our electric axle for trucks significantly enhances the design of electric trucks. Through its compact integration, it boosts transmission efficiency and facilitates a more optimal vehicle layout.

Take the 2.34 T logistic van as an example, the motor and the gearbox are integrated into the rear axle, allowing for easy installation. This integration reduces the number of components required by 11 types and slashes the overall weight by about 33 kilograms.
