A successful marriage isn’t finding the right person… It’s being the right person.

Over the past 60+ years relationships have undergone a dramatic change. There are many reasons for this, but I have to say that the biggest impact has come from our growing rejection of the Triune God. There are all too many people who at this point will stop reading this article, which just adds validity to my statement.

Barely half of the adults in America are married and over half of the marriages that do take place end in divorce.

 Here are the top 4 reasons for divorce in America:

1. Marriage Infidelity

2. Communication breakdown

3. Physical, psychological or emotional abuse

4. Marital Financial issues,

All of these issues are directly addressed through God’s divine guidance in the Bible. It comes down to believing, trusting, loving, fearing, respecting and honoring our almighty creator. Through the sea of temptations that surround us on a daily basis we find ourselves dead in our sins and drifting aimlessly without the anchor and compass of God’s word.

2 Corinthians 6:14-18                                                                                 Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? What accord has Christ with Belial? Or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever? What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; as God said, “I will make my dwelling among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Therefore go out from their midst, and be separate from them, says the Lord, and touch no unclean thing; then I will welcome you, and I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to me, says the Lord Almighty.”

By God’s design the family structure is critical for man to survive and thrive in the world that He created for us, but this is only made clear to those in which the Holy Spirit has filled their heart & soul.
