Successful Leaders R Learners!

Long ago I heard the statement, "Successful leaders are learners" and I have adhered to that statement for about four decades. Nothing can be truer today in the age of technology and the internet of things.

So as I embark on a new chapter and adventure in my life with Innovia Consulting, I move from a successful client using Microsoft Dynamics NAV to helping clients be successful using the powerful ERP and thus the learning begins.

I began thinking about what helped me in the past ten years on the client side of the table and what I wanted from my VARs (partner/consultants) and the first thing that struck me was the word "Support" Did I really want support? The word seemed a little lackluster and did not really describe the value I was looking for from the team. So I did what any learning leader does these days and turned to Google.

Searching customer service; customer support; CRM's and on and on…..and suddenly I came across an article about "Customer Success" and my eyes lit up, I think I may have gotten goose bumps and the light bulb went off! Customer Success that was the value I was looking for and what I want to be in my new position, a customer success specialist and manager.

I am just starting to put together what that looks like, but I know I am on the right track. I believe the responsibility is to build a relationship between VARs and Client, insuring a good experience when interacting with one another and provide significant value to both teams. The goal is to make the customer as successful as possible using the Microsoft Dynamics Software and all add on software that enhances the experience that we support.
