Success is in your hands

The Champions?league has in?the past two days given us a reason why millions all over the world love the beautiful?game of soccer/football. For me I learnt something on Tuesday, to never?underestimate anyone and if you are given a second chance, make it count. Wednesday?was a master class of the best coaching strategists that saw the players demonstrating what a 101 course?of the beautiful football should look like. If you have talent, use it to the fullest and remember?the game is a team sport. You can not do or win it alone.?

This reminded me of a mind-blowing experience when we were doing one of the group projects?with Regent Business School. We had to think of a business idea and we were given two rounds, first then final round to convince a board?to buy into our idea. We pitched on the first round and another team won the prize of the day. We still had another chance?the next day to re-pitch and I did not?sleep well that night because?I was convinced our idea was brilliant. I felt something?was missing and during my bathroom shower moment the next morning my lightbulb moment?came. I was so excited to share?with the?rest of the team when I got to the class venue. I was strategic to pitch first to other people who had no contest of the idea and all loved it. The next part was to convince my team and I did that cleverly by chatting with them individually to get their buy in too. Everyone loved it and the idea was born. When we all got together and because the team was such a lovely team more ideas came in to enhance the idea now put forward. It was no longer my idea but now the team's idea so we all made it work.

All the teams did their final pitch and we also did an amazing job. When the final results were announced only one team we where informed could win. We were not that team sadly. As we celebrated the winning team packed our stuff we heard the most striking words,?ATTENTION everyone. It so happens the board?were impressed with another pitch that they needed to have an additional?winner and guess who won! The pic has the answer,?our Team. Imagine if the team and I had given up with the disappointment of the first?pitch we would have not had that special recognition.?

NEVER GIVE UP. There is hope for Liverpool FC tonight. Don't give up boys.
