Success for Witches Way Challenge 2015

Despite heavy rain, wild wind and deep fog, over 30 Safe Child Africa fundraisers fundraisers took on our midsummer Witches Way Challenge for its second year. 

23 miles walked in over 10 hours as we made our way across fells and through forests, to reach Lancaster Castle, where over 400 years ago a group of women and children were taken to stand trial and later executed for the crime of witchcraft.

This year’s team did a fantastic job battling the elements and have so far broken last year's total raising, so far, over ￡3,000: enough to help run a street-child shelter, providing food, medical care, counselling and most importantly safety, to children accused of witchcraft for 6 months.
