Success Tips: CV Writing Career
I have written over 1000 CVs over the last 5 years. I have dealt with clients from fresh graduates with no work experience to customers with over 40 years’ experience. I have read many tips on drafting CVs and tried many other ways of writing. The following are tips that have worked very well for me and my clients.
1.????Self -Awareness
I take time to understand my customer. To diagnose the situation before putting it on paper. This helps me understand the customer in depth. I get to know why they do things the way they do and what makes them happy or trigger passion.
2.????Language.
I take time to review CVs that match my client’s area of expertise. This helps me understand the language of trade. A legal professional will not communicate using the same words as a communication professional or an IT professional. This helps me understand the key terms and how to communicate expertise.
3.????Understanding the job.
I must understand the role. Why it is important for the employer to hire a professional. What this role is likely to contribute to the organization. This gives me a better understanding of where to place my client and also to advise them. Never write your CV if you do not understand the job you are going to do.
4.????Professionalism
The most important part of CV writing is professionalism. I love working with professionals that is why I am one. All our templates are carefully designed from scratch. I take 4 hours every week to learn and understand the psychology of employers.
