Success Through Cohesiveness

Success Through Cohesiveness

There are a lot of people in our industry that feel they are a "one man/woman show" and rely solely on themselves. I know plenty of them and they are all strong, independent, solid performers with great goals for themselves. I also know that they are only ONE person. Imagine for a moment you are one of those people but you surrounded yourself with a team of likeminded, strong and solid performers. What could you accomplish? How much more successful would you be? Where would your career be today if you had started this months or years ago? My last post was about goal setting for 2016, this can be an addition to that post. As you are planning your 2016 year, think about what you could accomplish as part of  a team that supports you, pushes you and holds you accountable to what you want for yourself.

In my office in Long Beach and with my partner's office in Torrance, we strive to create a cohesive team that is competitive but still supportive of each other and pushes for success as a group. We like to jokingly say we run the South Bay but we know that wouldn't be remotely possible without our fantastic teams around us. Our Loan Officers are the foot soldiers meeting the customers and making the connections that will last a lifetime. Our processing is our backbone that holds us up and keeps us moving smoothly along the process. Our Loan Officer Assistants, are our communication hub, they keep us connected with our files, our customers and our Realtors. Our Realtors are our partner foot soldiers in the field, we need to support them to get the sales of homes so we can do the loans for their and our customers. As managers, we are the glue holding it all together and building more business to bring to our Realtors, LOs, Processors and LOAs. We help keep our teams working smoothly together, we help our LOs be accountable to their goals and dreams and we guide towards success.

As a productive member of this team I mentioned above we coach our LOs to support and challenge each other as well... healthy competition is always a good motivator! Supporting each other means when one team member has a question, needs help with door-knocking, or doing an open house (as examples) another team member or a manager will step in and help out! Keeping service top of mind for all our customers, be they borrowers, realtors, internal associates, this should be the main goal of a team.

If your team is not focused on the bigger picture of creating a cohesive unit to build everyone up, come and talk to us at Prime Source Mortgage. We are dedicated to your success. Remember, a rising tide lifts all boats... where there is success with one there can be success with many if we are all pushing in the same direction. See the difference... See your future!
