If you were to search online for “success”, you will get 50 pages of results, listing books and articles which teach you how to be successful, but not one of them tells you what actually is 'success'.?????
Success often means different things to different people, ranging from a fancy corporate title to the cliched name and game to a large bank balance. However as witnessed by many of us, such definitions have only proved themselves warped, since they result in sleepless nights or lack of contentment or search for purpose. Sometimes, intentions to pursue such shallow success has also resulted in the downfall of big Businesses.???
How we define success for ourselves is very important because it is the bar against which we will measure our progress and that will keep deciding the direction we take in life.
What then is “Success”?
Many of us spend 12 hours each day, working hard. End of the month pay cheque may make us feel good but in reality, we feel satisfied when our work creates a difference in somebody’s life. That is what makes work meaningful and fuels long-lasting inspiration. Thus, to choose to DO GOOD - something that is worthwhile and fulfilling, is the first step in the direction of becoming successful.

In our journey, we always expect others to behave with us in a just and righteous manner. Unholy qualities like deceit, cruelty, falsehood, and hypocrisy go against our intrinsic soulful nature. We all instinctively are drawn towards people with divine virtues such as compassion, justice, authenticity, and truthfulness. Knowingly or unknowingly, we also strive to rise in these virtues in many significant acts such as getting involved with an NGO, and even small acts such as giving extra tips on a rainy day to a home delivery boy etc. Thus, when we BE GOOD, we discover our heart smiling.?
All our actions are in the pursuit of the ultimate goal of happiness. Fancy cars, weighty titles, a powerful social network, etc. are all intermediary goals – only in search of happiness. However, even after achieving these we never halt. We get bored of our own possessions – whether it’s a wardrobe full of clothes or the latest gadget in the market; or our insecurities when we meet somebody with more powerful connections etc. Everlasting and infinite happiness is attained only when we purify our minds. Purity of intention results in peace of mind which in turn makes us FEEL GOOD.
Therefore, when we BE GOOD, DO GOOD and FEEL GOOD, we feel accomplished with no regrets, and our life journey is truly successful.?????
