S for Success. S for Subjective

S for Success. S for Subjective

Sometimes, a student who was expecting that that he/she will fail in exam gets thrilled with joy and excitement if they get 40% marks.

While a student may cry their hearts out even if he/she got 95% in exams because he/she had prepared and worked hard to come first in the school, but, couldn't.

So, If I had to look at these two examples and ask- What's the % a student should get for success? Then, I am sure I won't have a fixed number.

Because every student has different expectations and success for each one of them is different.

So, The next question arrives: Who's better? The 40% student or the student who gets 90+%?

Here's my opinion: The 40% student would have done a lot of extracurricular activities hence got 40%. So, The student learnt studies a bit but also learnt and gained other valuable skills because of the other activities. That means later on in life, This student will get benefited because the student will already have some other skills.

Now, the other student who gets 90+% will benefit because this student will get an advantage in future studies as the previous concepts are strong for him/her. Also, This student will get other benefits like scholarships and easy admission to his/her desired school or college.

So, I again circle back to the question- Who's more successful of these two students?

I believe the answer is both.

Both stand to gain different things from their experiences and both are successful if you view it from the right perspective.

On a closing note, I will share it doesn't really matter what you have achieved and what all you have failed to achieve till now, because every experience has brought you something - either money, either fame, either learnings or something else.

We just need to figure that and make the most of it.

Wrapping up with the famous quote- You can't judge a fish by it's ability to climb a tree, but, if you do, then, It will think it's entire life that it's useless.
