Success Is Not A Straight Line #42
Understanding the power of choice is different from exercising power to choose.
There is a gap between the knowledge we have in our minds and the behavior we choose to do.
And that gap can be bridged by our will.
Through our will, we can choose to do what our emotions want us to do.
Through our will, we can choose to do what our spirit wants us to do.
Through our will, we can choose to do what our body wants us to do.
These options are sorted, reasoned out, and judged in our minds.
But ultimately, our will overrides everything using our power of choice.
And, when we don't use our will, it creates a bitter root in our hearts.
Because we have authorized the use of our power to someone or something else.
And we feel we are not free to do what we want.
Instead, what happened was we relinquished our power to choose.
Maybe it's time to take your power back?
And, if you decide, just be aware that a lot of learning and unlearning will happen.
Just be open to it and be patient with yourself.
P.S. We are all on this life-long journey of making wiser choices.
