What are your educational qualifications??

I have a Masters degree in Biotechnology. I'm also COC certified from AAPC.

?What is your current job role??

Currently I'm working as a Coding Manager and I've played multiple roles during my journey at IKS- starting from Coder to Auditor to a Manager. As a Coding Manager, I've managed a variety of accounts at IKS and my role isn't limited to team management. I also perform client data analysis and execute crucial data required in day to day operations. In addition to that, I am also responsible for mentoring new joiners and transforming them into efficient coders.?

How is your education helping you with your current role??

Education played a pivotal role in shaping my persona, refining my skills and building up the confidence to tackle the challenging role of a Coding Manager. I have been able to successfully upskill myself on the problem-solving abilities through multiple-perspective thinking.?

What is the best thing about IKS Health according to you?

I feel indebted to IKS for inculcating in me the spirit of going the extra mile to deliver nothing but the “Best”. In my years of association with the organization, there are a number of things that I cherish at IKS Health; like an amazing work-life balance, such that Monday blues are things of the past. It won't be an exaggeration that I am unable to remember the last time, when I felt stressed out due to the workload.?

What motivates you to go beyond your call of duty and give your 100% consistently?

My hunger is my motivation!?

I believe in consistent learning and am a lifelong learner. I appreciate the opportunities I receive to learn new things, and am open to trying out innovative solutions to challenges at the workplace. This helps me foster my abilities and enhance my capabilities.?

?Another motivation is taking a deep dive into client’s challenges and priorities. It cultivates an attitude of second to none and being compliant towards the work. Going the extra mile lights up my day. Hence, I feel confident to take charge and resolve any upcoming challenges like a pro.

Any advice you may have for candidates looking towards taking up medical coding as their possible career options.

Digital Healthcare is the sweet spot where healthcare and technology converge, intending to deliver next-generation health solutions. Medical coding is undoubtedly a promising career that is here to stay for a long time.

Statistics reveal that the medical coding market will grow at a CAGR of 10.2% and become a whopping $24.56 billion industry in the next 3 years. Assisting people in getting insurance claims processed without delay is the epitome of job satisfaction. This feeling of pride never fades away.

?The demand for certified medical coders is shooting through the roof which means opportunities are endless. It's a rapidly evolving field with loads of interesting stuff to explore. Hence, boredom is not an option in this career for Gen Z.
