What inspired you to choose a different route as compared to other medical students / graduates??

I always wanted to explore US Healthcare in depth and IKS is giving me that opportunity.

How do you feel about your current job? Would you recommend this option to other medical students / graduates? ?

The current job is extremely satisfying, as it provides good work-life balance. Prior to joining IKS Health, I have had the opportunity of working in many well-known Government hospitals in New Delhi and in Mumbai; however due to the rotational shifts, maintaining a steady work-life balance seemed like a far-fetched thought. ?

Do you believe that medical students have a wide variety of job options to choose from?

Yes, definitely! The healthcare industry is one of the fastest growing industries and a fresher or a seasoned medical professional has access to a lot more non-clinical yet tremendous opportunities for career growth. For example: clinical chart review, clinical research, pharmacovigilance etc.?

Do you feel that your medical education background is being utilized well in your current job role? Do you get the opportunity to practically apply the knowledge you have gained through your medical background?

My clinical expertise is very well utilized in this job. Additionally, I get to improve upon my clinical acumen and keep abreast with the latest developments in the medical field.?

Any advice you may have for medical graduates on their possible career options. ?

I believe that medical graduates should consider other options apart from just clinical practice as there are numerous opportunities available for healthcare professionals looking to make a meaningful impact from a wide range of vantage points, applying different skill sets and gaining valuable exposure & experience.?
